In the planned few days succeeding the shooting, Manilla transferred authority of five properties to his mother and his sister, and steadfast with the power company on a pending sale of the 91 acre lot on which the taking pictures occurred.  Finally, ten days after the incident, Manilla common that he was actually the shooter; that positive was just an unfortunate accident.  He declared sympathy for the family’s loss.
Theresa Groh and her 17 year old daughter were less sympathetic and quickly filed the Wrongful Death suit.  They’re attorney, Adam Silverstein, was outraged over the property transfers and other activities by Manilla in the life earlier than he emerged because the perpetrator.  He appeared to be attempting to protect his assets from chip future legitimacy suit. Manilla’s attorney, William MacMinn, tried to have this hearing closed to the press because of the broad spread publicity surrounding the criminal case, but was denied.  MacMinn was truly angry at the judge’s decisions.  He dubbed physical “unusual,” that his client, who is now unemployed, became denied access to his let on financial institution accounts.  “With all apropos respect, the man has to eat,”  he told the judge.
